Canadian Heritage Canoe Trips follow in the footsteps of the voyageurs. We can take you to the land of the northern lights, using traditional equipment, to provide you with an adventure you will remember for a lifetime.

This season, Canadian Heritage Canoe Trips will be traveling into the wild country northwest of Temagami, Ontario. Our upcoming 14 day Florence Lake trip features a climb up Maple Mountain, one of Ontario's highest peaks.

In June of 2009 we will leave our base camp on Frederick House Lake, near the site of the historic Hudson's Bay Post. For fifty years Frederick House was a vital link to the fur trade south from Moose Factory, on the shores of James Bay. We will reopen an important route of that time, to the Montreal River. Paddling through Nighthawk Lake to Radisson Lake, named for the French explorer who travelled throughout this region, we will encounter vast lakes and small meandering creeks.Today Radisson Lake is home to a large population of Lake Trout, but few people visit it's waters. Heading south through a chain of lakes and over the height of land by portage into the northernmost point of the Montreal River, we will return north up the East Whitefish River.
